Comfrey

While gardener friends look horrified when I offer them Comfrey plants/roots (considering it too invasive), it has been one of the few plants I have that seem safe from the deer. They also bloom quite a long time in the spring, provide a good accelerant to my compost, and can be used in medicinal salves. And, not much else will grow under my black walnut tree anyway. Give it some thought....
